Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Helix desktop email client and the Helix account and licensing service ("Helix", "we", "us"), operated by Blackpeak CFO Ltd. By creating an account or using Helix you agree to these Terms.
1. Your subscription
A paid Helix subscription is a licence to use the Helix client on your devices. Plans are billed monthly or yearly. New accounts include a 14-day free trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription continues at the listed price. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
2. Bring your own AI key (BYOK)
Helix's AI features use an AI provider key that you supply and that is stored on your own device. AI requests go directly from your device to the provider you choose. You are responsible for your own usage of, costs from, and compliance with that provider's terms. We do not supply, see, or store your AI key, and we are not responsible for your AI provider's availability, output, or charges.
3. Your mail
Helix connects to your own email accounts using credentials you provide, which are stored encrypted on your device. Your email content is processed locally on your device and is not sent to or stored by us. You are responsible for your email accounts and for using Helix lawfully.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Helix to send spam or unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to break, resell, or reverse-engineer the licensing system. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
5. No warranty & liability
Helix is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
6. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions: hello@blackpeakcfo.com.
This is a starting template and should be reviewed by a solicitor before launch.
